Ljubav
je slomljen zub u gladnim ustima. Ljubav je tronogo pseto. Ona je poput
tanga koji plešu dvoje bogalja.
Tako
piše Egon Wolff, suvremeni čileanski dramatičar koji punu afiramciju
doživljava nakon pada Pinochetova režima. Ljubav je u ovom komadu
promatrana kroz prizmu odnosa dvaju likova različitih društvenih
slojeva, gdje različiti socijalni i društveni identiteti uvjetuju
različite koncepte ljubavi. Slučajan susret i gesta ljubaznosti prema
strancu uvod su u niz događaja koji vode prema kraju svijeta kakvim ga
znamo i u kojemu ljudski neuspjeh postaje slikom globalne katastrofe.
Riječ je o dramskom tekstu koji spajajući realizam i simbolizam te
sociologiju i mitologiju daje lijepu i potresnu sliku uništenja
unutarnjeg krajolika žudnje. |
Love
is a broken tooth in the hungry mouth. Love is a three-legged dog. It is
like a tango danced by two cripples.
These
are the words of Egon Wolff, a contemporary Chilean playwright, who
became fully recognized after the fall of Pinochet’s regime. In this
play love is seen through a prism of relations between two characters
belonging to different classes, in which different social identities
create different ideas of love. Accidental encounter and a nice gesture
to a stranger introduce us into a series of events leading towards the
end of the world such as we know it, in which human failure becomes an
image of global disaster. Joining realism with symbolism and sociology
with mythology, this dramatic text gives a lovely and moving glimpse
into destruction of inner regions of desire.
