ŽELJKA UDOVIČIĆ was born in Upper Town (part of Zagreb). However, she stubbornly tries to proclaim herself Dalmatian, supposedly because of her family from Šibenik. Lawyer profesionally, out of unknown reason has fallen for dramaturgy which she studied at Academy of dramatic arts in Zagreb. She took part and did everything , from Universiade to tv drama, translated and adapted, she even took her chance with films. Vinko Brešan still feels heavy consequences from their collaboration on film «Marshall». From '92 to '96 did not emigrate to Germany voluntarily through Slovenia with unhappy Magelli. To the joy of croatian metropolis she is the art director of controversial Drama theatre «Gavella». Has left indelible dramatistic marks on southern-american continent (Caracas Stories from viennese woods, Bogota Antigone). Worked with paolo Magelli on all his antological performances. |
