Matko Trebotić was born on 13th January 1935 in
Milna on the island of Brač. He attended primary school in Milna and
Split. He graduated in architecture from Belgrade University. During 1971
and 1972 he studied, as a Meisterschuller, at the famous Folkwangschule
(Prof. Hermann Schardt) in Essen. Since 1970 he has started exhibiting
regularly. Richness and peculiarity of artistic impulse drove him on to
cognitions all over Europe and the world, where he held around a hundred
and fifty group exhibitions. He lives and works in Split, Šetalište
Ivana Meštrovića 80.
