Citadela
is a word describing a fort, an outpost. A space which forms part of a town, yet detached.
The hermeticism of the space creates a strong need to be set free at all levels:
instinctive, emotional, intellectual, spiritual. Is Diocletian's palace Ismailian's Citadela? And which of its layers fallen asleep a long time ago will be uncovered? How much passion will it draw out of the blue oblivion of the Mediterranean? |
